Recruiting - Ride-a-Longs

Residents of the City of Chandler do not need to apply under this provision.  Residents can ride under the general provisions of the ride-along program. The provisions for the ride-along program can be found under the “Community” section from the ChandlerPD home page.

Exceptions will be made to the Chandler residency requirement of the ride-along program for police recruit applicants that do not reside inside the City of Chandler. This will allow you the opportunity to ride with a patrol officer as an observer.

If you are not a resident of Chandler, you must complete a job application found in the, “Applications and Forms” section in addition to the ride-along application below.  Both applications must be brought to a background detective for approval.  Note: you must contact a background detective to schedule an appointment for approval, prior to submitting your application.  Applications submitted without prior approval will be discarded and no ride-along scheduled. After approval your ride-along application will be forwarded to a coordinator and the applicant will be contacted with a date and time for the ride-along. Please leave at least two weeks for approval process before your ride-along date.

How to obtain an application:

2. They can be picked up at the Chandler Police Lobby located at 250 E. Chicago Street, Chandler.
