Chandler Police Arrest Two in Fraud Schemes, Seeking Third Suspect
For Immediate Release
Tuesday June 17, 2008

CHANDLER, AZ. On Tuesday June 17, 2008, detectives from the Chandler Police Department’s Financial Crimes Unit arrested Philip Minneci (57) from Scottsdale at his place of employment in Glendale after he refused to voluntarily surrender to police in regards to his connection in a theft and fraudulent schemes case. This has been an on-going investigation since December 2007 when his daughter Jennifer Minneci (24) from Tempe was arrested while employed at Ann Taylor in Chandler as a clerk.
While working as a clerk, Jennifer repeatedly rang up false returns and either pocketed cash or credited money into her own bank account as well as her parent’s bank account. The total loss has exceeded $15,000. Over $6,400 was credited to her parent’s account with their knowledge.
Repeated attempts were made for Philip and his wife Kim Minneci (47) to come in and talk to investigators about this case, but they refused. All three are facing charges of Felony Theft (F3), and Fraud Schemes (F2). There is probable cause for Kim’s arrest and she is still outstanding at this time. If anyone has further information about this case they are encouraged to call Detective Hoffman at 480-782-440.
