Drowning Victim Identified

CHANDLER, AZ: At approximately 5:30 am guests at the San Marcos Resort in downtown Chandler pulled an unresponsive 50-year-old woman out of the hotel pool. The guest who found her alerted the front desk and then used pool safety equipment to pull the victim from the water. Patrol officers arrived and began CPR prior to paramedic’s arrival.
The victim has been identified as 50 year-old- Lolly Powell, an Alaskan resident. She was in town visiting family and was staying at the San Marcos Resort, by herself. The victim is currently at a local hospital in ICU on life support and there are no suspicious circumstances noted at this time.
