Student Brandishes Gun at College

CHANDLER, AZ. On Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at approximately 1 P.M., Chandler Police responded to Chandler-Gilbert Community College (CGCC) for a report of a student detained by campus security for brandishing a gun.  The suspect, identified as James John Kim, a thirty-two year old Chandler resident, pulled a gun on another student during an argument over a female student.  Kim was arrested and booked into the Maricopa County Jail, charged with aggravated assault, disorderly conduct-reckless display of a weapon, disrupting an educational institution, and possession of prescription drugs.
